Hi, I’m Jeff Pocock. Teacher, writer, MacIntyrean, trade unionist and Labour Party activist.
I currently run a weekly online reading group for MacIntyrean studies.
I have been UCU Anti-Casualisation Committee (ACC) member and co-chair (2022-24), and UCU SW Region and University of Bristol branch anti-casualisation officer (2020-2026).
I was Newton Abbot Constituency Labour Party press and media officer (2021-23), and trustee of Teignmouth Mutual Aid Community Larder (2021-23).
I have also been a Labour Party election candidate, most recently in the May 2025 Devon County Council elections for Tiverton West.
To participate in the weekly online MacIntyre reading group or for anything else, please get in touch.
