Dr Jeff Pocock

Hi, I’m Jeff Pocock. Teacher, writer, and MacIntyrean.

I have been UCU Anti-Casualisation Committee (ACC) member and co-chair (2022-24), UCU SW Regional anti-casualisation officer (2024-2026), UCU University of Bristol anti-casualisation branch officer and rep (2020-2025), and University of Bristol Health and Safety Consultative Committee member (UCU) and co-chair. 

I was Newton Abbot Constituency Labour Party press and media officer (2021-23), and trustee of Teignmouth Mutual Aid Community Larder (2021-23).

I have also been a Labour Party election candidate, most recently in the May 2025 Devon County Council elections for Tiverton West.
